by Kenneth Wapnick, Ph.D.
Inspired by the image of the arch in D.H. Lawrence's novel The Rainbow - the child in the story was freed to live her life beneath the pillars of love and strength represented by her parents. So Jesus asks us to view our lives as framed between the pillars of forgiveness and his love, letting their quiet strength and gentle protection nourish our experience and sustain our learning. Thus our recognition grows of the contrast between life under the arch of his love and life outside it.
